Dropout early warning

The problem

Dropout is noticed after the student is gone. The signals (low grades, absences, debt) are in the academic system, but nobody cross-checks them in time or alerts the tutor.

Step by step

  1. 1Runs automatically every Monday at 7:00 a.m.
  2. 2Reads midterm grades, attendance, debt, and work status.
  3. 3Computes dropout probability with a logistic model.
  4. 4Keeps only high- and medium-risk students.
  5. 5 IAAI: writes an empathetic message to the student and a technical note to the tutor.
  6. 6Sends the emails and logs the intervention.
  7. 7 IAAI: drafts the weekly report for the dean’s office and posts it on Slack.
